Since we started working with Jonny and El Jaragual, Edinson Argote and his farm Quebraditas has never been far from our minds. We've had countless delicious coffees of his from fellow UK roasters (shout out Scenery), so we thought it was about time we joined the party. Edinson has an incredible CV, having worked at some of the most innovative coffee farms in Cauca. Keen to start his own project, he set up Quebraditas as a family venture, highlighting family ties, hard work, and a drive for progress. Our first time buying an orange bourbon varietal, it's processed in a similar way to our coffees from El Jaragual. Specific yeasts are used in fermentation to enhance the fruity and floral flavour profile, and the hot and cold quenches (thermal shock) help to lock in all that deliciousness. We're tasting lots of orange florals, sweet and delicate honeysuckle, and a bucket load of stone fruits like apricots and nectarines. An absolute stunner, and we're just getting started. EDINSON ARGOTE - COLOMBIA

Edinson Argote is a passionate young coffee producer with extensive experience in the industry. He became an orphan aged three when his mother passed away and was brought up by his sister. Edinson gained valuable experience and mentorship while working in some of the most innovative coffee farms in the Cauca region. Grateful for the knowledge and experience gained, he was nonetheless driven by a personal ambition to establish his own coffee farm.
