Here at Wood St we’re known for our love of washed process Central American coffees, and this bourbon and pacas varietal from El Salvador certainly delivers. Soft stone fruit acidity with a creamy caramel body and nutty finish, El Imposible smoothly slots in to our core range of single origin filters. An easy drinking, all day coffee- with a much more precipitous background. Check out what our importers, Caravela, have to say about it below.
FROM OUR IMPORTERS - CARAVELA
El Imposible, named after the largest park in El Salvador, is grown along the highlands of Ahuachapán.
This coffee represents the uniqueness and special characteristics of its producers. El Imposible National Park, a natural reserve forest, is known for its dangerous gorge that has claimed the lives of many farmers who used to saddle up their mules to transport coffee to the Pacific port. Besides El Imposible National Park, the department of Ahuachapan is home to volcanos, beautiful peaks, lakes, rivers- and a perfect atmosphere for producing diverse agricultural products, such as coffee.
Coffee growers in this region strive to produce high-end specialty coffee with notes of cacao, yellow fruits, and a creamy body.
